Australian Open Tennis Championships 2010

Melbourne turned on the summer weather for the 2010 Australian Open again, and it was a fortnight of glorious sunshine and exciting tennis.
It was 8 years since I was back in Melbourne at the Rod Laver Arena, and there were many familiar faces and many new changes around the complex.
Still in eight years of absence, the photographers still haven't got a proper area to edit and work from 'off the court'.
Canon and Nikon were both there to provide their excellent service and repairs, of which i must thank Canon for repairing the collar of my 400mm lens. Thanks guys!!
Despite the women's final ending dissappointly, the men's final was a highly anticipated clash between Roger Federer and Great Britains' hopeful Andy Murray.
Outplayed and classed Andy didn't disappoint dispite losing in three sets. The Scot won many fans during the fortnight and is bound to win a grand slam final very soon.
Dispite working long hours everyday, sometimes way after 3 and 4am, the tournament was a success and on many days drew record crowds.
Well the first slam is over and with Vancouver Winter Olympics looming in my sites next, it'll be time to put away the suncream and shorts and don the snow boots and gloves!
